Day One – Meeting in Airport

Day Two – Curchi Monastery – Old Orhei – Cricova Cellars
(Departure from Chișinău at 10:00, return to Chișinău at 19:00)

Curchi Monastery
Nestled among picturesque hills covered with ancient oak forests and along the banks of the Vatic River lies the Curchi Monastery—one of Moldova’s most significant landmarks and a 17th-century architectural monument.
The monastery occupies two terraces: the upper terrace houses the monastery itself and utility buildings, while the lower terrace features a stone pool-pond. The architectural ensemble includes two churches, nine buildings (including monk cells), a large garden, and a stone pool.

Old Orhei
Old Orhei is a site filled with mysteries, legends, and breathtaking views. Located just 45-50 minutes from Chișinău, it’s a must-visit for those interested in history, authentic architecture, stunning landscapes, and local culinary traditions.
Key highlights include:

• Nativity of the Virgin Monastery: Dating back to the 15th-16th centuries.
• Peștera Hermitage: Part of the Butuceni cliff complex, it includes a church, 11 monk cells, a bell tower, and a massive stone cross.
• Pârcălăba Bosie Monastery: A 17th-century complex with a cave church and nine monk cells located 25 meters high. It features unique medieval inscriptions in Cyrillic, written in Slavic and Romanian, preserved only in Moldova.

Cricova Cellars
The Cricova winery is a unique underground complex famous worldwide for its vast labyrinths and exceptional wines. Cricova boasts the second-largest wine cellars in Moldova after Mileștii Mici (the largest in the world).
These cellars were frequented by Soviet leaders like Nikita Khrushchev and Leonid Brezhnev, as well as international figures such as Mao Zedong, Kim Il-sung, Jacques Chirac, Angela Merkel, and Yuri Gagarin.

Day Three – Chișinău City Tour – Mileștii Mici Wine Cellars – Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary
(Start: 10:00, Chișinău – Mileștii Mici: 13:00–16:00 – Church: 17:00, return to Chișinău by 18:00, followed by free time)

Mileștii Mici wines are celebrated worldwide for their exceptional character and quality.

Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary
This stunning wooden structure is the oldest building in Chișinău, dating back to 1642.

Day Four – Excursion to Transnistria
(Departure from Chișinău at 10:00, return to Chișinău at 19:00)

Step into a unique experience by visiting Transnistria, a breakaway republic in eastern Moldova that preserves Soviet-era values and aesthetics.
Tiraspol and Bender feel like stepping back into the USSR, offering an intriguing glimpse into the history of the Soviet era.
